EP02 - 'TALKING TREES'

Geoff and Brett go on an ethno-botany adventure in what we know call Stanley Park with Coast Salish guide Jonathan Clark from Talaysay Tours. We learn about the central role that the Potlach ceremony plays for NW Coastal Peoples across our region, the many uses of the mighty Western Red Cedar tree and the useful  plants availble in to human beings in the great rainforests of the Pacific NW coastal regions. We also discover that the pesky black squirrals you see  tromping around our local forests are originally from New York ( and we can only assume that they  talk like Joe Pesci in GoodFellas ). ´╗┐
